This Wasteland that is Technology...

Sun Oct 26, 2008, 4:09 AM
I had to bury a CD Player, sound system, my scanner and my ps2 recently. I believe a four-way shoot out took place between the objects in question. Probable cause suggests money was the reason for the incident, but perhaps we'll never know...
It will be a long while before I can update, and after a good cry, I took a tour of a nearby university and have decided to attend in order to attain actual skill at drawing and painting.

I also finally got to see both Iron Man and The Dark Knight. The Dark Knight was in I-MAX, so I was extremely impressed overall. The only gripe I had was the willingness to cease being Batman struck me as off. I really did like the film though and have learned to appreciate the simple joy of a good magic trick.

Are you sure your tech devices weren't having it out over a woman?

Congrats on the decision to go to art school! Can't wait to see the results!

Ah, so that’s why you haven’t been on in a while. Don’t feel bad, I usually have that type of domino effect with my tech stuff as well. Once one goes, a few follow it for some reason. My DVD burner just broke so something will inevitably follow it into the junk yard.

Good luck with Art School! I took a few home courses a while back but never got up the money to attend one.

*hugs* My laptop just joined my scanner in the great Futureshop in the Sky. I understand the pain.

In better, happier news, omg Iron Man. Am love.

So far it's three computers (2 Desktops 1 Laptop) and a PS2 that doesn't work anyway, and from as much as I have been spent time playing Fable II and Tales of Vesperia my 360 will probably be joining in that group too lol.

You would think that things like computers and stuff would be more durable or at least have better repair plans.

Reguarding Iron Man, I absolutely agree. Robert Downey Jr. is extraordinarily cool as Tony Stark and the writing / improv was well timed and never boring.

So it's not just me, then?

Thanks, WMR. I have to thank my family as well for convincing me to try to go back to college. I quit four years ago because of testosterone based hubris and life's been showing me the error of rash decisions ever since.

Well it could have been the universal remote's fault.

Thanks! I really want to improve my talent and I actually miss the studio scene.

My mother is the same way, though she breaks shit constantly. It’s like living with the Hulk. She’s snapped the buttons, knobs and handles off nearly every appliance, faucet and electronics we’ve ever gotten in this house.

I wish you the best of luck with college and keep us posted on your progress. Even the little bit I did by mail helped me improve a lot.

It's probably some kind of epidemic. Like chronic greminism or something.

Thanks for the kind words WMR. I'll post results as soon as possible.
