Mood: PirateReading: The HostNo offense, but ... People are getting too fake on me . They only want posts, comments, or to see how many friends they can get. So let's see who will actually repost this. This is a test to see who's paying attention. This is a test to see how many people in my friends list actually pay attention to me. Copy and repost in your own bulletin. Lets see who the true friends are and I think I know who you are... Repost this if you are a friend...Don't reply... just copy and paste this in a new bulletin as "Fake Friends'

I hope you know that I will ALWAYS be a real friend to you. D: anyone I watch I am always wanting to be there for them. In the roughest times I will always stick up for them. Even if I think my friend is wrong I will try my best to do anything I can for them. Im so sorry your feeling this way and once again if there is anything I can do for you to make you feel better then please let me know.

I'm not big into reposting things, but I can see where your friend is coming from. There are people who comment on every popular piece out there with :wow: This Rocks! just to try to get in first and get someone to click on their page. Then some people may make fewer posts but try to be thorough, constructive and helpful at the same time. Then there is a vast middle ground, where you try to comment on all the deviations that show up on your watch list, but it gets to be too much to be as thorough as you could be on every post. A lot of these people in the middle I have found, will really step it up a notch when you post a piece that is vastly superior to some of your average previous pieces. Sometimes they don't but they at least stop by to comment. Every little bit helps!

Yeah, a lot of it may be fake, but hey, its the internet. And teh internets is srs bizniss!

I agree with everything you're saying, the srs bizniss in partikular. Most of the friends I have on my watchlist usually do respond and critique and I gladly do the same. I'm showing my support for the middle roaders.

Right on. I find that with so many people in my watch list, I don't always get the time to respond as thoroughly as I would like, but I try to give everyone some kind of feedback on their work. Knowing how much effort goes into my own stuff, I'd be pissed at myself if I didn't.

Exactly. There are also a lot of entries you just don't get to unless you have more than an hour to observe every work.
I think adding the thumbnail views detracts from the gallery experience as a whole, because people don't even have to directly view the source image. It may speed up the faving process, but it makes it unnessesary to really look at the full sized image.

I don't think I'll repost this (there's no need, I hope), but I understand. Come to think of it, here at deviantArt, I'd rather give away comments and favs than recieve them (at least I HOPE so xD; at least I give away many many more comments and favs than I recieve). But recieving, of course, is also very nice ;D

It's ok. I do consider you a friend. I just posted this for another friend to say that I do take consideration in others work, I just am a lousy critic.
